Pontera, the fintech company enabling financial advisors to manage their clients’ 401(k) and other workplace retirement accounts, has been named winner of the Wealth Management Industry Award for 401(k) Technology for a second straight year.

Now in its 10th year, the Wealthies, organized by WealthManagement.com, recognizes the companies, individuals, and organizations driving new innovations that bring real value to financial advisors. The biggest industry awards program attracted more than 1,000 nominations from nearly 300 companies across more than 80 categories. Winners are chosen by panels of independent experts.

“We’re thrilled to receive this award, which validates Pontera’s efforts to help retirement savers by enabling 401(k) management by their trusted advisors,” said Peter Nolan, Head of Enterprise, Pontera. “We continue to enhance and strengthen our platform, forging new integrations with top planning, management, and billing solutions so we can meet advisors where they live.”

Pontera’s platform helps financial advisors securely manage their clients’ 401(k) assets as part of a comprehensive investment plan. Roughly one-third of Americans use a financial advisor to help manage their more complex financial needs. Though target date funds or managed accounts may be sufficient for certain participants, many clients stand to benefit from active, personalized 401(k) management from their own, trusted advisor.

Pontera integrates seamlessly with third-party software platforms, enabling advisors to view and rebalance their clients' workplace accounts using their existing tech stack. Third-party technology integrations build on this capability by meeting advisors where they live – enabling them to view and rebalance their clients’ workplace accounts using their preferred software solutions.

Pontera announced five integration partnerships in the past year and will continue adding third-party relationships, including enhanced capabilities to serve advisors that outsource investment management to home offices or TAMPs. Over the past two years, Pontera has expanded its integration ecosystem to 14 partners, including Pershing X, AdvisorEngine, AssetBook, Envestnet, Morningstar, and SS&C Advent.

Collaborating with leading fintech solutions also streamlines billing and performance reporting for advisors, creating efficiencies that let advisory firms offer 401(k) management to more clients. Roughly 75% of advisors on Pontera’s platform use at least one integration, and more than 90% of client assets are managed by firms using integrated solutions or data feeds.
