Pontera wins second consecutive FinTech Breakthrough Award
Pontera is proud to announce it has been selected for a FinTech Breakthrough Award — for the second consecutive year. We received the “Retirement Management Innovation Award” for our technology that enables financial advisors to manage their clients’ 401(k) and other workplace retirement accounts.
Last year, Pontera’ received a FinTech Breakthrough Award for “Best Retirement Management Platform.”
The FinTech Breakthrough Awards, organized by industry research firm Tech Breakthrough, recognize the latest advances in the global fintech sector. This year, more than 4,000 nominations were submitted by companies from around the world.
This latest honor underscores the importance of providing tools and solutions to help U.S. retirement savers get access to professional guidance on their 401(k) accounts, which can improve their retirement futures.
Against the backdrop of higher living costs and the uncertain outlook for the Social Security safety net, there is growing concern among Americans regarding their retirement security. These concerns are one factor fueling increased demand for professional financial guidance of 401(k), 403(b), and other workplace retirement savings accounts.
And yet operational and regulatory hurdles have made it difficult for financial advisors to manage 401(k) accounts. That lack of access to advice can set retirement savers back. Market research shows professionally managed portfolios can generate net additional annual returns of more than 4%. And considering that the average U.S. family holds nearly half of their net worth in their sponsored retirement accounts, optimizing returns in these portfolios is critical.
The Pontera platform was purpose-built to help solve this challenge for retirement savers. Our secure, client-permissioned technology enables financial advisors to analyze and manage their 401(k) accounts and incorporate these assets into the client’s personalized, comprehensive financial plan. Seamless management across brokerage, IRA and 401(k) accounts also can, with professional asset allocation strategies, yield significant tax and risk management benefits.
By building a bridge that gives advisors greater visibility into workplace retirement plans, Pontera also removes incentives that could result in suboptimal IRA rollovers and save workers billions of dollars annually in extra fees.
